R.I.P. LEO VITI
Another one of our heros has joined the great softball team up above.
Leo Viti the founder of Osceola Senior Softball League passed away on March 31, 2022. Leo was instrumental in organizing a group of old timers who just wanted to play softball, the majority of those old timers are gone now but we are here to carry on what Leo started over 25 years ago.

Obituary For Attilio D. Viti
Attilio D. Viti (Leo) passed away on April 1, 2022 of respiratory failure in Bradenton, Florida. He was 89 years old. Leo was born and raised in Providence, RI, and served after High School in the Army during the Korean War. He returned to earn a bachelor’s degree in accounting and began working as an Insurance Agent. In 1957 he married Ann Capobianco, the girl next door. Leo moved his family to Palm Beach County for 10 years before relocating to Kissimmee, Florida where he and his wife lived for almost 40 years. His primary profession while living in Florida was Real Estate. Ann and Leo were long time Disney World annual pass holders and loved taking visiting friends and family to the many parks and hotels for entertainment.

In the 1990s, Leo founded the Osceola Senior Softball league (for men over 55), which still thrives today. He loved playing on a regular basis until he was over 80.

He spent the last 2.5 years of his life living in Saint Petersburg, Florida to be near his son and daughter-in-law. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Ann, in 2017. He is survived by his two brothers, Dick and David, his sister, Marie, his son, Steven, and his daughter, Carol. A celebration of life will be held in Kissimmee in the fall.
